Scientific and Publishing Activity
The research work of the Department of Foreign Languages of the Faculty of Economics is carried out within the framework of the departmental research theme: “Research and Teaching of Foreign Languages for the Implementation of the Macroeconomic Strategy of Ukraine’s European Vector of Economic Development: Conceptual Foundations, Challenges, and Contradictions.”
Main research areas:
- development and application of innovative approaches to the forming language competences and academic skills
- study into new methods for teaching and learning professionally focused foreign languages
- study of foreign languages in the context of a globalized economic environment
- implementation of modern technologies in teaching foreign languages for professional purposes and promotion of interdisciplinary research
The research topics also cover a range of current issues and ways to address them, taking into account such factors as the globalization of education and international standardization of foreign language proficiency requirements, the development of modern information technologies and their linguodidactic potential, as well as new approaches to the analysis of linguistic phenomena and their integration into the educational process and translation practice.
The research results have so far been presented in 5 collective monographs and 185 articles, including 53 articles published in journals indexed in international scientometric databases.
