International Activities

The Department of Economic Theory, Macro- and Microeconomics actively develops international educational and research cooperation within the framework of the University’s strategic partnerships. Faculty members and students participate in Erasmus+ programs, academic exchanges, joint research projects, and educational initiatives with partner universities worldwide.

International Academic Consulting and Cooperation

Prof. Ihnatiuk A. and Prof. Hrazhevska N. served as international supervisors for PhD candidates at the Karaganda Economic University (Republic of Kazakhstan) under the Cooperation Agreement between Karaganda Economic University of Kazpotrebsoyuz and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, which provides for joint implementation of scientific and educational programs for PhD students and consulting supervision (2021).

Assoc. Prof. Selezniova R. was an invited lecturer at Kazakhstani universities — Turan-Astana University (Nur-Sultan, 2021) and Buketov Karaganda University (Karaganda, 2021).

In 2023, an Addendum to the Cooperation Agreement between the University of Florence (Italy) and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv was signed (coordinator – Assoc. Prof. Kseniia Lopukh).

International Grant Activity

         Dr. of Economics, Prof. Volodymyr Virchenko coordinated a grant project funded by the Embassy of Sweden in Ukraine titled “Analysis of Media Discourse on the Prevention of Violence against Women in the Context of Ukraine’s Ratification of the Istanbul Convention.”

He also led the project “Research of Needs and Provision of Services to Long-Term Psychiatric Patients in the Context of Health Care Reform in Ukraine” (registration No. SG54193).

Prof. Virchenko headed another project — “Ensuring Strategic Sustainability and Development of the Interdisciplinary Analytical Center for Socio-Economic Wellbeing and Mental Health in Conditions of Uncertainty”, supported by the International Renaissance Foundation and the Embassy of Sweden in Ukraine (registration No. SG54711). A participant of the project was PhD student V. Selezniova.

Prof. Virchenko also signed a cooperation agreement with King’s College London (UK) on the research topic “Mental Health and Wellbeing during the COVID-19.”
