Department of Accounting and Audit

One of the priority areas of the department’s activity is the development of international scientific cooperation: internships at foreign universities, participation in international conferences, seminars, international projects of the World Bank’s Financial Reporting Reform Center, publication of articles in journals included in scientometric databases, etc.

The Department of Accounting and Audit closely cooperates with international stakeholders and partner companies. Within the framework of the signed memoranda with the representative offices of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), the international auditing companies PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Deloitte, Ernst & Young (EY), KPMG, a number of activities are being carried out aimed at improving the theoretical and practical skills of teachers, postgraduates, students, and introducing information systems and technologies of accounting and reporting into the educational process of the specialty.

According to cooperation between the Department of Accounting and Audit and the representative office of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the educational bachelor’s program “Accounting and Taxation” received certification and the possibility of automatic enrollment of credits for graduates in the following ACCA qualification exams: “Business and Technology” “Financial Accounting”, “Management Accounting”, “Corporate and Business Law”.

The main areas of scientific activity of the department:

– improvement of theoretical and organizational and methodological aspects of accounting and reporting of business entities in the corporate and public sectors of the economy;

– analytical support in the management system of business entities;

– organization and methodology of risk-based control of business entities in the context of sustainable development;

– system of external and internal audit of business entities;

– implementation of modern information technologies and systems for the formation and processing of accounting and analytical information for making management decisions;

– organizational and methodological aspects of the formation of non-financial reporting of business entities in the context of sustainable development.

The Department of Accounting and Audit educate specialists in the field of knowledge D “Business, Administration and Law” specialty D1 “Accounting and Taxation” at three levels of education for obtaining:
