Collaboration takes place through:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Scientific cooperation and research internships<\/strong> \u2014 building networks, establishing contacts, and launching joint initiatives with international partners.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Academic mobility of staff<\/strong> \u2014 outbound and inbound exchanges for teaching and professional development.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Student mobility<\/strong> \u2014 opportunities for Bachelor students, Master students, and PhD students (study visits, short schools, research placements).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This cooperation strengthens our community, broadens perspectives, and supports integration into the international higher education and research arena.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>RESEARCH AND SCIENTIFIC COOPERATION<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>International research cooperation is a cornerstone of the Department\u2019s academic activity. Through joint projects and partnerships, we establish sustainable research networks and contribute to addressing global and regional issues in line with our expertise.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our Research Expertise<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our researchers contribute expertise across finance and economics, combining analytical and applied perspectives. Leader \u2013 Dr. Martina Ra\u0161ticov\u00e1 (MENDELU).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Co-authoring research papers and policy studies with international colleagues<\/strong>, and collaborating across disciplines and countries.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hosting and undertaking research internships<\/strong>, as well as <strong>mentoring early-career scholars<\/strong> within international networks.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Organising and contributing to international conferences, workshops, and training schools<\/strong> to share knowledge and best practices, among them:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Together with Prague University of Economics and Business (V\u0160E) was organised hybrid workshop <em>\u201cIllicit Trade in Goods: Common and Distinctive Features and Related Research Gaps,\u201d<\/em> 4\u20135 June 2024, Prague, Czech Republic, under the umbrella of COST Action GLITSS<\/p>\n<p>Our Department hosted a policy workshop <em>\u201cWorkers 55+ in the Digital Era: Challenges and Opportunities in Ukraine\u201d<\/em> on 10 June 2025. The event brought together representatives of government, business, civil society, and academia. It was organised within COST Action DIGI-net.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong>TEACHING AND ACADEMIC COLLABORATION<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Our faculty regularly <strong>deliver courses abroad<\/strong>, contributing to international curricula and cross-cultural learning:<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>University of A Coru\u00f1a (Spain) \u2014 our lecturers taught <em>Financial Shocks, Financial Stability and Irrationality in Decision Making<\/em> in the International Summer School (2020, 2021, 2023) \u2014 Dr.\u00a0Nataliia\u00a0Versal, Dr. Vasyl Erastov; <em>Intro to Data Analysis and Interactive Visualization <\/em>(2023) &#8211; Dr.\u00a0Vasyl\u00a0Erastov, Dr. Mariia Balytska, and <em>Unlock the Power of Data: Master Analysis and Visualization<\/em> (2025) \u2014 Dr. Vasyl Erastov.<\/li>\n<li>Naresuan University (Phitsanulok, Thailand) \u2014 Dr. Nataliia Versal delivered the Master\u2019s course <em>ESG Investment and Reporting<\/em> (2025).<\/li>\n<li>Mendel University in Brno (Czech Republic) \u2014 our academic staff completed teaching-focused internships and training in 2023, 2024, 2025, strengthening international teaching capacity and curriculum development, and Dr.\u00a0Nataliia Versal delivered a range of courses to master&#8217;s and bachelor&#8217;s students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The Department welcomes visiting lecturers from abroad, fostering exchange of experience and innovative teaching practices. Our international colleagues contribute to delivering open lectures and participating in joint workshops.<\/p>\n<p>Among recent guest lecturers is Dr. Piotr Luty from Wroclaw University of Economics and Business (Poland) \u2014 a long-standing friend of our department and active partner in research and teaching initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>International cooperation is not limited to mobility; it also directly contributes to the <strong>development and continuous improvement of educational programmes<\/strong>. The Department actively integrates the best international practices, teaching approaches, and research results gained through cooperation with partner universities into its curricula. This ensures that courses remain modern and globally relevant, while students gain the knowledge and competencies needed to operate confidently in the international financial environment.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong>LEARNING AND STUDENT MOBILITY<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>At present, the Department maintains <strong>exceptionally close partnerships with universities in the Czech Republic<\/strong>, which have become the cornerstone of our international collaboration in education and research.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Outgoing Mobility and Joint Programmes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mendel University in Brno (Czech Republic) is our strategic partner in academic mobility and student exchange.<\/p>\n<p>Through joint international projects, at least 30 students from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv visited Mendel University in 2023, 2024, and 2025, taking part in lectures, workshops, and research activities on digitalisation, sustainability, and resilience in higher education.<\/p>\n<p>Before 2020, the Department successfully implemented a Double Master\u2019s Degree Programme \u201cFinancial Markets and Risk Management\u201d, developed jointly with Masaryk University (Brno, Czech Republic). The programme involved study in Ukraine (1st and 2nd semesters) and in the Czech Republic (3rd and 4th semesters), leading to the award of two diplomas \u2014 from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and Masaryk University.<\/p>\n<p><strong>COIL: Collaborative Online International Learning<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Department is an active participant in the COIL initiative, which enables students from different countries to study and collaborate without the need for physical mobility.<\/p>\n<p>A COIL programme has already been successfully implemented in partnership with Coventry University (United Kingdom) and Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences (India), focusing on student academic mobility and joint learning in the field of Investment. Together, students deepened their understanding of investment practices, sharing experiences and insights in a truly international environment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Incoming Mobility and Opportunities for International Students<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Department is <strong>open to international students and PhD candidates<\/strong>, welcoming them to study or conduct research in Kyiv.
