International Relations
The Department of Marketing and Business Administration actively develops international educational and research cooperation in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Statute of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, and the policies of the Faculty of Economics.
Key areas of international collaboration include:
- professional development and academic training of faculty members;
- internships and faculty exchange programs;
- participation in international conferences, seminars, and round tables;
- joint research projects and publications;
- participation in international programs and grant initiatives;
- involvement of students and postgraduate researchers in international mobility schemes, exchanges, and grants.
The Department continues to implement the double degree program “Business Administration and Consulting” in partnership with the University of Macerata (Italy), under the Global Politics and International Relations curriculum (International Politics and Economic Relations). In June 2025, students defended their Master’s theses before a joint examination board that included representatives from the University of Macerata.
In recent years, Department faculty have completed international professional development programs, including:

The Department maintains ongoing cooperation with the Fulbright Program (USA) through Prof. O. Kanischenko.
Department staff (Prof. O. Kanischenko, Ass. S. Katsiuba) participate annually in the international project “Resilience in Education Amid War and Global Challenges: Ukrainian Perspective” in partnership with the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada.
The Department is engaged in international projects on Ukraine’s national export strategy, including preparation of the Green and White Books of Ukrainian Export. Prof. A. Dlihach served as project lead for initiatives supported by GIZ, the UNDP in Ukraine, and the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, focusing on public-policy documents for international economic activity, implementation of international donor assistance projects, and an Embassy of Italy in Ukraine project addressing prevention of gender-based violence in transport. Activities included economic modelling, sociological and marketing research, strategic and communication planning, and public consultations.
The Department also participates in the project “Accountability and Effectiveness of International Economic Support for Ukraine from Non-EU Democratic Countries During Wartime”, coordinated by Nord University Business School (NUBS) together with the Norwegian Network for Research on Ukraine (UKRAINETT) and the Research Council of Norway. As part of this collaboration, Prof. A. Dlihach presented “Business Climate and Economic Reforms in Ukraine: From Recovery to Growth” at Nord University (Bodø) and contributed to panels on digitalization, business resilience, and the financial position of Ukrainian SMEs.
The Department is involved in the pan-European bootcamp and hackathon on Health and Nutrition, and in establishing a Start-up Center and Innovation Hub under the EIT INTREPID-HEI project (International Capacity Building in Innovation, Transfer and Entrepreneurship). Faculty also took part in the international start-up initiative “Young Innovation Hackathon”, organized by Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in cooperation with the Ukrainian Start-up Fund and Enterprise Europe Network Ukraine, supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Finally, the Department contributed to the entrepreneurship skills program “Business Start”, implemented under the EIT INTREPID-HEI project at Diia.Business | KNU.
