My name is Valerio Perrucci, I’m from Pescara. Having studied foreign languages, English and Russian, during my bachelor’s degree I wanted to enrich my educational background with a master’s degree in economic or related fields. The best opportunity to achieve my objective was offered by the University of Macerata that through a collaboration between its department of international relations and the best university of Ukraine, the “Taras Shevchenko”,gave me the possibility to get a double master’s degree, one in Global Politics and International Relations and one in Business Administration.
These two paths of study allowed me to add to my skills both an economic and an humanistic background that made easier for me the access to the world of work after the university career. In fact, few months after my graduation I started to work in the administrative department of an Italian company.
The experience in Ukraine was amazing, the university is very well organized and teachers are highly qualified, lessons are much more practical and concrete than in Italy. This teaching method allows to put into practice the notions learned during the course of study allowing you to be ready for the labor market.
The study program in Kyiv involved various subjects such as, global finance, international marketing, business planning, international trade and investment etc.. In addition, in the afternoon I also had the possibility to improve my Russian level by attending a Russian course offered by Taras Shevchenko National University.
Furthermore, what made this experience unforgettable is the city of Kyiv and the people I have met there. The city is simply amazing. It is full of parks, museums, churches and historical places. Maidan square, St. Sophia church and Andriyivskyy Descent are probably the most famous places of the city however many others deserve to be discovered. It is also full of pubs and restaurants that offer the possibility to have a good time and to appreciate the Ukrainian cuisine and not only.
I really suggest applying for this double degree program, it will allow you not only to discover and appreciate a new culture but it will be a fundamental step towards a growth both at personal and professional level.
